The Call4Collaboration for the ASEAN Data Analytics eXchange (ADAX) briefing was a big success. I was very happy to see a good turnout from various industries who are interested in the future of BDA in Malaysia.
We ran two sessions inviting representatives from the private sector to come and hear how they can partner with us to make ADAX even more successful. It’s the first time we have aimed at a true private public initiative and we had a full house in each session, made up of people from MNCs and Local BDA companies.
Speaking to many of the attendees after the presentation, it was clear that the collective thoughts and inputs from people at the sharp end of the industry will add real value to our ADAX initiative.
We expect the ADAX office to be ready in a few months time, so this is a very critical stage to combine all our efforts in making this a successful venture.
The ASEAN Data Analytics eXchange (ADAX) hub is where Big Data Analytics (BDA) technologies, business leaders, and community can converge into a collaborative public-private partnership platform to embrace BDA adoptions.
In fact, ADAX is a very innovative approach. We want businesses to use the centre to promote their offerings in a big way that captures the imagination of the customers. The office can be used as a ‘sand box’ to run displays, programs, innovative ideas without the cost of running it on your own.
The office will be equipped with state-of-the-art tools and there will be Data Scientists who can help you run your business analytics and come up with applications and run diagnostics for you.
I have just also met Amb Micheal W. Michalak (US ASEAN Business Council, SVP also Regional Managing Director) to create interest from the council which validate ADAX as a good platform for Technology to be showcased and act as a window to ASEAN markets. We are looking forward to further discussions in inviting US ASEAN Business Councils to collaborate.
At the same time, ADAX is going to be the HUB for the whole of ASEAN which means we will be inviting other ASEAN leaders and innovators to the centre to further create an environment that will mix and match the different industries.
